Eddy Eustache (Martinique, 1998) is a French - Caribbean artist currently based in Antwerp who first completed his Bachelor in Fine Arts at the AKI in 2022, followed by a Master at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen. His practice focuses on painting, depicting abstracted human bodies within large fields of colors. Borrowing automatic drawing from the surrealists, geometric shapes and symbols spontaneously emerge along these bodies through the use of diverse materials and techniques such as oil paint, charcoal, airbrushed acrylics and sand.
